So Which Is Better, The XGIMI Aura Or The ViewSonic X2000B-4K Laser TV?
Both of these are affordable single laser UST projectors. Whether you buy the XGIMI or the ViewSonic laser TV, you'll get fantastic image quality and you'll be extremely happy with your purchase.
This comparison showdown is really close and it's difficult to definitively say one 4K UST is better than than the other. But a winner must be chosen. So between the ViewSonic X2000B-4K and XGIMI Aura the winner of this ultra short throw projector shootout is the………
ViewSonic X2000B
This really was one of our closest shootouts. The reason we picked the ViewSonic as the winner was mostly due to the better contrast. When watching content side by side the contrast was the main differentiator. The smaller chassis and slightly closer throw ratio also help give the X2000B an edge.
This UST has accurate colors and fantastic contrast. It also provides great motion handling and a sharp image. ViewSonic is also known in the projection industry for producing quality affordable projectors and the ViewSonic X2000B-4K ultra short throw is no exception at the affordable low price of $2,899.
The biggest knock against the ViewSonic X2000B is the lack of brightness it throws out. By all means it's still bright enough to work with the lights on, but if you want a high quality image in a brighter room you'll need to pair it with an ambient light rejecting screen.
All that being said, the XGIMI Aura still offers a phenomenal image for a great low price. If you plan to use the built-in soundbar or if you plan to watch most movies or TV shows with the lights on the XGIMI Aura would be a better choice than the ViewSonic X2000B.
