The LG HU810P CineBeam continues LG’s hot streak of delivering incredible home theater projectors to consumers.
The latest innovation in LG’s popular ultra high definition projector lineup, this 4K laser projector offers features and technologies that make it the perfect choice for movie lovers, TV enthusiasts and entertaining families at home.
The Visuals
With the HU810P, LG has added to their line of laser projectors. Like the ultra short throw LG HU85LA, this new regular throw beamer utilizes multiple lasers for better, more vivid colors.
This new DLP projector from LG takes the viewing experience to a whole other level by throwing a gorgeous 4K resolution picture on your projection screen.
While the HU810P only uses a dual red/blue laser system, as opposed to the HU85LA’s triple laser system, the new LG dual laser projector still achieves 97 percent of the P3 color space while generating a powerful 2700 ANSI lumens of brightness.
This dazzling 2700 lumen projector has the power to make the most of both HDR10 and HLG formats of high dynamic range.
Iris Mode
Speaking of the projector’s brightness, one of the coolest features of the CineBeam HU810P is the Iris Mode. Iris Mode offers two presets – Bright Room Mode and Dark Room Mode – that detects the amount of light in the room to deliver the best picture possible, even delivering a true movie theater experience right in your house or apartment.
The HU810P can cast a picture up to 300 inches diagonal. (Though for home theater use you probably won’t need anything close to that.) This LG projector includes a 1.6x manual zoom. The lens shift can go up to 55 degrees vertical and 22 degrees horizontal.
The Software
The software of this new beamer from LG is as impressive as the visuals. This smart projector utilizes the WebOS 5.0 many of LG’s newest TVs rely on) to run popular streaming and multimedia apps like YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV+ and Disney Plus.
Other streaming apps are available via Apple's AirPlay 2 and Screen Share wireless technologies, allowing you to beam them to the projector directly from your smartphone or tablet.
The Inputs and Connectivity
What really sets LG’s new projector apart from other similarly priced units is its HDMI 2.1 port. This is the same port the new PlayStation5 and Xbox Series X use to provide games at 4K/120 Hz or variable refresh rates on compatible TVs.
The LG CineBeam HU810P UHD projector also features wireless connectivity with home theater audio systems via WiSA and Bluetooth technology.
The Built In Sound System
The CineBeam HU810P projector even has built in speakers (5W+5W) so in theory you don’t need an external sound system. Though truth be told these are probably inadequate for the immersive cinematic experience the visuals provide.
