When Optoma debuted their Cinemax P1 in the fall of 2019 it was received with an enthusiasm we've rarely seen in the home theater industry. It was one of the first affordable ultra short throw projectors. This black ultra short throw projector fit perfectly in any living room.
Fast forward a year to the fall of 2020 and Optoma released their new and improved CinemaX P2. But unlike just about every other piece of A/V equipment, the P2 was only available in white. It'd stick out like a sore thumb when the A/V receiver, cable box, Blu-ray player, and for those who still have them for some reason, the VCR are all dressed in black.
Not only does a white unit not fit in with the other equipment, but when you have a white ultra short throw sitting below the screen some of the projected light reflects off the white surface of the P2 slightly diminishing the very bottom of the picture.
Finally the designers at Optoma heard our cry for a black P2 UST projector. Optoma is proud to give you the Optoma CinemaX P2B! It's the P2 back in black.
This is the same CinemaX P2 you know and love but now with an option for a black chassis.
Both the Optoma P2 and the Optoma P2B give you a super bright 3000 lumen laser light source, a 2,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 6 segment RGBRGB color wheel and the best built in sound system in its class.
The Optoma P2 in black, gives you all of these great features with a sleek black chassis that shoppers have been searching for. This is just one more reason to order our best selling ultra short throw projector.
We're so happy that Optoma has finally released the P2 in black that we just want to sing!
Here are a few songs to get you as excited as we are. Got any other songs with "black" in the title? Leave them in the comments section below.
And of course what tribute to the new black CinemaX P2 is complete without AC/DC's Back in Black
