I needed something that was portable and easy to use and the xming pageone fit the bill. it has my favorite streaming apps including netflix, which many projectors don't and it also has really good speakers. I am able to take the pageone on the go easily and it only takes a couple of seconds to setup each time. I am very happy with this projector.

This unassuming little show-pony delivers pretty solid performance

I recently received a Formovie Xming Page One projector. My experience with projectors is a bit limited—I have a cheap VGA resolution, no-name projector that I swear is held together by duct tape. I only used it for Halloween to try and scare the neighbors with ghostly images in the windows. My other unit is an Epson 5040 home theater projector—the kind AV nerds drooled over when it first came out. So I've gone from the junkyard to the almost penthouse when it comes to projectors.

The Page One arrived safe and sound, cocooned in its foam-lined hard case. The projector comes with the usual accessories—power cord, brick, and a simple unassuming remote control.

The Projector has a single button to get the party started: a lit power indicator for On and Off. Connection inputs HDMI, USB (the older rectangular one that has a 50/50 chance of putting it in correctly on the first try), and a 1/8th inch headphone jack.

This little beauty has an auto focus and auto keystone feature that impressed me more than my last date. It even auto adjusted around my bookshelf.

Some things to note - the Page One does not have zoom or lens shift. To change the image size, you have to physically move the projector closer or farther from the screen, up to a 120” image size. Anything larger becomes blurry. The manual does not mention this, but I found if you want to resize the image with the projector on, you can physically move the projector, tilt it up and down to reset the auto focus and keystone adjustment.

On the box it says its the first Google LCD Projector that is Netflix Certified, not certain why this is a huge claim to fame as I don't mind a little Roku dongle, and let the projector just be a projector. Anyways the Google-based interface was easier to master than parallel parking. I quickly had all my streaming apps loaded. The remote has a dedicated "Settings" button so changing things is easy, unlike getting my teenagers to clean their room.

To be frank, this little guy could use few shots of espresso to keep up with higher-end projectors in terms of brightness. But in a light controlled environment it throws a very respectable 1080p that out of the box i did not need to monkey with. Whether the setting is a conference room meeting, a living room with the curtains pulled down working a Netflix and chill night, or an impromptu outdoor movie night. The picture quality is like a Instagram filter—makes everything look pretty darn good. Even the sound is better than most TV speakers these days.

I took the Page One with us camping and rigged up an old white board in the back of the minivan so we could watch some games that we normally would have missed not being in the comforts of home or a sports bar. In the early evening the picture was tolerable, but with once the moon had risen the picture really shined and everyone was impressed. Its portability it really increased our camping experience so we could enjoy nature, and the sports, and later the kids enjoyed a movie under the stars while the adults enjoyed the campfire and bourbon in peace.

From my experience this Formove Page One projector is more about the experiences it can help create. So while it won't replace a high-end projector in my home theater, the projector is a versatile, quality unit at a reasonable price point, and setting it up is easier than assembling Ikea furniture while intoxicated. This unassuming little show-pony delivers pretty solid performance. Thumbs up.
