Variation Reviewed: Hisense 120L9G 4K UST Triple-Laser Trichroma Projector & 120" Screen Package - L9GPlease add this to my previous review. 1-I found the download times are slower if connected straight to router using an RJ 45 jack over using Wi-Fi so most definitely connect using Wi-Fi over hardwiring. 2- this is a big one, now that I’ve had time to play around with it, turn down your luminosity to zero then put on auto contrast to low, now put the unit on filmmaker mode and boom 💥 this unit shines like a top of the line projector! Unreal blacks, nothing gets blown out and what a pleasure it is watching this projector in action. You can play with the other processing if you like, I just put the motion on standard and that’s it done.
Variation Reviewed: Hisense 120L9G 4K UST Triple-Laser Trichroma Projector & 120" Screen Package - L9GI got the 100” and realized it wasn’t big enough for the room and then reordered another 120” and it fit very nicely now. It was a pain to do this but I know I would regret it every time I used it. Right out of the box calibration is pretty dead on, I don’t turn on auto contrast or add extra contrast because it kills the blacks by over saturation. The auto geometric correction will only work if you have a well lit room doing it in the dark or not giving it enough definition between the room and wall will make it useless and it will not work. Installation is pretty straightforward and not difficult at all as long as you do your measurements and leveling correctly. It definitely was harder then the 100 inch installation and geometric set up was also easier. It’s a little buggy at times but nothing to worry about. Interface is outstanding and easy to navigate. I have it integrated with SVS ultra speakers and a Marantz AV processor with EMotiva amps, Gallo Atmos cubes, and sealed Atlantic technology subwoofer that really does a nice job pressurizing the room.

Will it be ok to watch during the day? Will it be as good as our LG OLED? She was blown away after setting this bad boy up. She thought it was as good as our OLED! It took her a couple of weeks to get used to the size and she said that it was a great purchase. Everyone that comes over is impress by the size, color, brightness and clarity especially during the day. As for my son (3 years old), he love watching his trucks, cars, trains and construction video on it. I've asked if he wants to watch his videos on the big tv or small tv (LG OLED), he always picks the big one. I mainly watch sports and TV shows on this and watching sports is amazing. Players don't look tiny anymore! Setup was fairly easy, just took time adjust the projector to cover most of the screen. This is my first time with UST and I am impress with the technology.
