I truly love this projector and use it extensively for gaming as well as movies and TV. Picture quality definitely needs adjustment out of the box and would benefit from professional calibration, but the detailed settings I found published in two different reviews are both worth trying and improve out of the box picture a lot. Contrast and color are both considerably better than my prior VPL285ES, and setup was a breeze.

I'm rating this 5 star with one big caveat; they advertised a feature then removed it later. The feature that really was important to me was VRR, which was originally marketed and supported by a feature that was simply unreliable. Sadly, they appear unable to have fixed this, and now no longer support or market support for VRR, though low latency Dolby Vision for gaming does work.

I changed from a VAVA 4K to the FORMOVIE Theater recently. I also changed my screen to a Black Series CLR screen from a gray CLR screen. The picture is much brighter, the colors are sharper, and black levers are better. There is an extensive calibration menu that helps tweak the projector the way you want it. I only have one issue is the Dolby Vision settings are not as good as some TVs that support it. The colors are not bright in Dolby Vision. Hopefully this will be corrected with a firmware update. I am very happy with my purchase.

I am using the Formovie Theater 4K UST triple laser projector on the 100“ Formovie Fresnel ALR screen with the latest Apple Tv 4K and am thoroughly impressed by the quality, its sharp and crisp picture.

The projector can handle 80-150“ UST screen sizes and supports 4K and Dolby Vision content.

While the included Bowers & Wilkins speakers are solid for a projector, I am using a pair of the Gen 2 Apple HomePods, paired with the Apple TV box (e.g., music and Airplay works better).

Cons:
Getting the right tension and adjustment for the ALR Fresnel screen is quite a challenge and the suspension system is not great.
