Bottom line: Overall we are very happy with our Spectra Vantage UST ALR screen, Formovie Theater projector and ProjectorScreens.com’s customer service.

Regarding customer service, my screen shipped out before the projector but unfortunately it was lost during transit with FedEx. ProjectorScreen.com responded to my emails quickly. Luckily they were able to ship out the replacement screen and projector at the same time so I received them together.

For reference, this is our first foray into projectors and we we are using the Spectra Vantage UST ALR screen with the Formovie projector. The projector partnered with an ALR screen is a perfect match. If you didn’t no any better you’d assume it was a tv. The picture is crisp and the colors are bright and not faded. We do have our projector setup in a basement that has one small window not facing the screen on the other side of the room. So we are able to get it very dark when viewing, but even with lights on it still looks quite good. We aren't serious gamers but PS5 games look spectacular and we have not noticed any delays. Fast moving sports look good too, but we did have to tweak the settings a bit. Our biggest complaint is calibrating the screen. Getting it to fit and line up with the screen perfectly took quite a bit of time and patience. I can’t speak too much regarding the Android/Google interface since I’m using an Apple TV on mine. The speaker sounds great. I haven’t set up my home theater receiver and speakers yet so I’m relying on the built in speaker and it honestly sounds really good. Not room filing but still very good sound overall.

Overall we are extremely happy with our decision to go with the Formovie Theater projector.

This is my first time buying and installing a projector screen. There are a lot of options out there and many reviews on YouTube as well. I appreciate that the team Projectorscreen.com has done a lot of work to help try and explain the differences between the options. Here are my thoughts on pairing this screen with an Epson LS800 Short Throw Projector.

Pros:
-It's definitely fun to have a large 120" screen to watch movies or sports on. It transforms the room that it is in and has a large presence. When paired with a great quality soundbar, it's awesome for movies at night. Especially with older classics.

-I bought the Spectra Projection Vantage because it is reviewed to perform well during the day and we have the projector in a room that has two large windows with a lot of natural light during the day. The Epson LS800 has many calibration features that allow you to find the right settings based on what you are watching for the best color and picture quality.

-The screen construction is great quality and the materials have a nice finish. It looks like a professional home theatre. The mounting hardware is functional.

Cons:
-It does take several hours and two people to assemble and mount the screen if you have not done it before.

-It is expensive. I spent just as much on the screen that I spent on the projector. Between the screen, projector, and soundbar, it becomes a significant investment.

-It can take several minutes to calibrate the projector to specific content each time you watch a movie. During the day the colors are not very vivid and cannot compare to a Samsung QLED 80" TV, which is a fraction of the price.

Never hearing of this brand before, I made the purchased based on the sales person's recommendation and I am very glad that I did. I have assembled other fixed frame screens before and this was a pretty similar process and took me about an hour from start to finish with some help from my wife attaching the surface.

The frame appears to be really high quality and fit together perfectly with no gaps. I really like how the corners join together at a 45 degree angle and do not use end caps to fill the gaps.

The black velvet coating really is a nice touch and makes this screen look much more high-end than the Aeon I was replacing. Best of all - the adjustable mounting brackets! These made mounting and aligning the screen so much easier and probably saved me an hour+ of drilling/re-drilling the mounts for perfect placement.

The image on this screen is also FANTASTIC! I paired this with a Samsung LSP9T and keep it in my living room which generally ahs the lights on and light coming through the windows on the side of the room. This screen does a great job of rejecting the ambient light and giving me great picture quality with really good black levels and contrast. When the lights or off, this image is outstanding and rivals my 65" QLED and is almost twice as large!

This was an easy 5 stars for me to give and is highly recommended.

I have an interior room with no natural light. It works perfect for the space, excellent contrast, dark levels and brightness. I have it paired with a Formovie UST. Setup instructions were good, but definitely takes a few hours and helpful to have a second person. Recommend buying some toggle bolts to fix to the drywall instead of using the drywall anchors provided with the projector.

This review is specifically for about the Formovie Theater projector with a Spectra Vantage 120 inch screen.

Pros:

- Very impressive image quality

- Bright even during the day (2800 lumens + ALR)

- Surprisingly good sound for built-in speakers

Cons:

- Significant over splash due to the small bezels (even when not using keystone)

- The built-in speakers don't work with external audio devices (e.g. you can't add a subwoofer)

- It's not noticeable when looking at it head on but the screen I received has some streaking

Overall I am very happy with this combo and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it assuming the cons aren't a deal breaker.
