Variation Reviewed: Stewart Balon Edge BALG3E135HFHG5FLX Fixed Frame - 135" (66x118) - [16:9] - 1.1 GainGot a JVC NZ8 and decided to retire my diy screen. My diy used a decent quality AT screen material, but from a more budget provider years ago. I can't do AT in my room with my new speakers, and my room is multipurpose with some ambient light on sometimes. So after a lot of study, decided to pull the trigger on this Steward Balon screen with the Firehawk G5 ALR material. Was worried I would lose something from my diy white screen, but this screen is with my projector is fantastic. I didn't know what I was missing, but it is plenty bright and the detail and contrast is excellent. I would say it does an okay job with Ambient light. Much better than the white screen of course, but I still have to get the room pretty dark to get the best picture. But in the dark, it is fantastic. Quality of the frame and material is also very good. Pleased with this purchase.
Variation Reviewed: Stewart WallScreen Deluxe WSDQ120HST13G4EZX Fixed Frame - 120" (58.75x104.5) - HDTV [16:9] - 1.3 GainWorking with ProjectorScreen.com was fantastic. I had some questions on which screen would work based on my room and specific projector and they were quick to propose a solution for me. The ordering process was quick and easy. I would not hesitate to buy from them again. The screen looks fantastic and I'm very happy with my purchase!
Variation Reviewed: Stewart WallScreen Deluxe WSDQ110HST10EZX Fixed Frame - 110" (54x96) - HDTV [16:9] - 1 GainI received this screen in some pretty impressive packaging, so there was no question of it being damaged. The installation was pretty easy. After assembling the fixed frame, the screen material was rolled out on the floor. My wife and I carefully laid it out over the frame and snapped it onto the frame buttons in the pattern called for in the instructions. Everything fit perfectly. To hang the screen, a "z-bracket" is installed on the wall and on the upper part of the screen, and two small magnets are screwed into the wall at where the lower corners of the screen will be. The location of these magnets is critical, so you have to take some care to get them right. We lifted the screen onto the z-bracket and carefully tilted it down onto the magnets, which both "caught" as they should, and the screen was installed! We paired this screen with a DLP laser-source projector (Optima UHZ65), and we have gotten stunning results on both SDR and HDR sources. We watch mostly in a darkened room, and the picture takes your breath away with a 4K HDR program (we use an Apple TV 4K for streaming). The upconverted 1080i signal from our AT&T U-verse receiver is, obviously, not as good but fine for most programming. With the lights on in the room, the picture is somewhat washed out as you would suspect, but the Optoma really does a good job of making a very watchable image. There is very little natural light in the room, even in the afternoon, so that helps a lot. Very nice build quality and picture!
