Black Diamond Fusion is a unity gain, ambient light rejecting front projection surface that rejects up to 85% of the ambient light in a room, delivering reference quality color and contrast in spaces that were never dark to begin with.

Ambient light rejecting screens have historically demanded a trade-off. Buy back contrast in a bright room and you typically inherit sparkle, visible texture, hot-spotting, or a viewing cone so narrow that half the seating loses the image. Fusion is Screen Innovations' answer to that compromise after two decades of refinement to the Black Diamond line: a perfectly smooth surface with zero sparkle and zero visible texture, no hot spot across a 160 degree viewing cone, and unity gain so the image holds its color balance from any seat in the room. It resolves up to 8K, works with standard throw projectors at 1.5 x image width, and is opaque for front projection only. Paired with the Zero Edge frame and its 0.5" trim, the finished screen reads as an image floating on the wall rather than a bezel around a picture.
