this isn't the most expensive screen out there, so I understand it may not be as good as some other options, but it really should hold proper tensioning on all four sides. after a month or so (of course, outside of return period) the material started to sag and stopped being tight. I reached out to elite screens several times about the warranty and they simply will not respond. I rigged up some extra springs in the back to help tighten things up, but I really shouldn't have to. I would not buy an elite screen again
Variation Reviewed: Elite PFT100H-DST Pro Frame Thin DarkUST 100 diag. (49x87.2) - 16:9 - DarkStar UST - 0.5 GainFirst issue is the edges are so sharp that I was cut on my finger.. It was a weird cut and there was a lot of blood so I took a picture after I washed the blood off. Another issue is the middle supporting bar bends outward.. I’m assuming because the tension from the springs are so tight.. this causes the screen to not sit against the wall correctly and makes the image from the projector look funny.. even when using the bottom wall brackets does not help.. but it should not be bending anyway. I’ve attached a link with video of it laying flat on the floor and you can see it bowing https://streamable.com/ml65f8 There was also some imperfections on the screen itself. Also had several issues with the led lighting strips.. first the way the screen frame is designed it seems the best place to put them was inside the black bracket But this causes the light to be blocked inside the bracket somewhat so it limits the experience.. also some of the leds did not illuminate Also.. this led set comes in 2 separate strips and the colors did not match… and sometimes one of the strips would not illuminate. I also believe for the price point of around $2500.. this product seems VERY cheaply made.. I know there are way more expensive screens but for about $2500 you shouldn’t have all these issues.
